The Refresher Training Course, that combines crops and livestock, was organized in Ban Mae Lama Luang Temporary Shelter during March 21-25 and 28-30, 2022, in which 142 farmers attended; and in Ban Mae La Oon Temporary Shelter, Mae Hong Son Province’s Sob Moei District, during March, 21-24 and 28-29, 2022, in which 110 farmers participated.

The training curriculum was aimed to equip farmers with the following know-how:

   -Principles of organic agriculture;

   -Growing seedlings from seeds;

   -Soil preparation by digging, stirring, overturning and building raised bed;

   -Vertical farming in the narrow and limited areas, using smaller space and available containers like pots

   -Making liquid fertilizer which enables plants to absorb nutrients through roots and leaves;

   -Making organic pest repellent solution for watering plants

   -Making compost from grass and leaves;

   -Learning about plant propagation, by layering, grafting, budding, stem cutting, in order to reduce buying new seedlings;

   -Animal husbandry focusing on pig raising: selective breeding, feeding, housing, disease control, sanitation, etc.
